Coming Soon!!! EMDR group intensives

Neon pink sign 'The Unfiltered Couch Counseling' above a matching pink couch in darkness.

Real Work, Less Performing. 4 session virtual EMDR group.

Let’s be real: carrying past stress, old narratives, or that constant on-edge feeling is exhausting. You want to move past the things holding you back, but the idea of sitting in traditional talk therapy for months on end feels daunting.

You don’t have to do it alone—you do not have to commit to endless weekly sessions just to explore whether a different format fits you.

Welcome to our EMDR Group Intensive. This is a structured, raw, and focused way to explore difficult material alongside a small group of people who understand that “I’m fine” is often a wildly ambitious statement. No toxic positivity, no performance. Just real processing.

How it works

This package is structured to be a tight, intentional container that offers a focused group format without requiring an open-ended commitment. It is set up as a four-session package that includes an individual intake and three 90-minute group sessions carefully designed to provide education, preparation, EMDR-based exercises, group support, and time for reflection.

No specific emotional outcome or timeline can be promised.

The intake session: Mapping the setlist

Format: 1-Hour Individual Session (1:1)

The Vibe: Just you and your therapist, dropping the guard.

What we do: Before jumping into the group, we meet one-on-one to identify one or two areas you want to explore, and discuss your goals, boundaries, coping resources, and questions about participating in the group.  We'll map out your coping toolkit, establish your boundaries, and decide whether the group format feels appropriate and safe for your current capacity.

The Group Process: The Big Show

Format: Three 90-Minute Group Sessions

The Vibe: Completely unmasked, judgment-free, and grounded. Think of it less like a clinical circle and more like an intimate backstage session with a crew that just gets it.

What We Do: Three extended group sessions with time for preparation, structured EMDR-based exercises, breaks, reflection, and closing.  We kick the standard 50-minute therapy clock to the curb. We utilize Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP). Because EMDR allows your brain to reprocess heavy memories internally, you never have to lay out your rawest secrets or deepest vulnerabilities to the room. You get the full clinical power of the track-by-track exploration without sacrificing a single ounce of your privacy.

Why This Group?

You don't have to over-explain: In a group setting, you quickly realize you aren't the only one dealing with a brain that won't turn off. There is immense power in shared context.

A More Concentrated Format: Traditional 50-minute sessions can sometimes feel like you’re just getting warmed up right when the clock runs out. The 90-minute format gives the group more time for preparation, structured work, breaks, questions, and reflection.

Privacy Retained: You are in the driver's seat. You can work with your own targets without describing every detail to the group. You get the full clinical benefits of the protocol without having to voice your deepest vulnerabilities to the room. (Note: Confidentiality boundaries and group guidelines will be reviewed before we begin.)

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

You’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, or a stubborn life transition that has you feeling stuck.

You are tired of talking about the same things without feeling changes and want to learn about a structured, research-informed approach.

You appreciate a relaxed environment where you can wear sweatpants, say exactly what you mean, swear, laugh, cry, and show up as yourself without having to put on a polished performance.

This is NOT for you if...

  • You’re looking for a traditional talk-therapy venting circle. This group includes structured exercises, preparation, active participation, and reflection.
  • You want a rigid, clinical therapist lecturing you on how to feel. This is a space where you are the boss of your own healing.

Financial investment

The group intensives are a complete package. The $550 investment covers both the individual intake and all three 90-minute EMDR sessions.

Groups are strictly limited to 6 participants per cohort to ensure an intentional, supportive space.
